HELLO AND WELCOME,
My name is Harriet and I hail from the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

My boyfriend Ben and I are both lovers of the outdoors and wanted to be able to explore all the amazing places in the UK with the little money we had as students. Ben is also a competitive windsurfer, which presents a pretty unique set of requirements for a vehicle.
In October 2016 I invested all my hard earned savings into a 2003 Land Rover Discovery 2 for us to convert into a camper. We knew loads of people with campervans but no one who had done a Discovery conversion. Our Land Rover doesn't fit many of the standard stereotypes that these cars tend to fall in to. It's not a hardcore off-roader, nor is it an overlander, although it does have some elements in common with overland vehicles. It's somewhat unique and we had to solve many problems that other people perhaps haven't come across.

The car is a 2003 Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 automatic, with no ACE and a standard height coil conversion, instead of the factory fitted air suspension. This gives us a few less things to go wrong. In terms of the mechanical parts, it hasn't been modified at all (apart from the coils). Our focus is on maintaining reliability and the interior.

This website is a place for us to share what we've done, mistakes made, lessons learnt and show where you can go and what you can do with a Land Rover camper in the UK and beyond! Have a look and see what you think...
